8/13/2023 0 Comments Global discovery vacations![]() ![]() All timeshare demonstrations offer a 3 day getaway, and guess what? They ALL have blackout dates and are ALL difficult to utilize. ![]() However, I think it's a little irresponsible to poorly review a company you aren't even a part of. Obviously this program, and timeshares in general are not for everyone. ![]() With the saving we made by joining GDV, we figured out that we had paid for our initial sign up fee AND covered our yearly maintenance fee by the 2nd year of our membership. The prices and the condominium options they offer are unbelievable. We have not paid ANYTHING beyond what we signed up for. Martin, Cancun, and we will be going to Anaheim for Christmas. We have been able to travel to Maui, Sun Valley, Clearwater Florida, Las Vegas, Long Beach, St. I have been a member of Global Discovery Vacations since December of 2006 and I can honestly say I have no complaints with the program, with the condominiums, with the customer service, or with anything for that matter. The various corporations, including the names of ones that did not legally exist in the State of Florida, were all conducting business under the fictitious name of GLOBAL DISCOVERY VACATIONS at various times over lapping- so at first glance it’s very hard to say who owns what or more importantly who is responsible for the day to day operations of the “fictitious” company. and it appears that Steve Schlossberg dropped out of the picture and a Timothy Frick took his place. immediately changed its name to Premium Destinations, Inc. popped up 11/9/06 and is still active with the State of Florida. The company opened 1/21/04 and was dissolved by the State of Florida 12/11/06. in Key West FL tied in with GLOBAL DISCOVERY VACATIONS and was owned by Larry Coteelli, Michael Camino, and Steve Schlossberg. There was a company called TROPICAL ACCOMMDATIONS, INC of 921 Eaton St. The Florida company paper trail with GDV or Global Connections Inc. is not even a Florida corporation or even registered in Florida to conduct business. The GDV owned by Global Connections, Inc. They hope you get lost in all the words and hung up on figuring out where you'd like to go and don't read the fine print on the very back and after further review the deadlines conflict making it virtually impossible to redeem anything.įurther I checked with the State of Florida and found that GLOBAL DISCOVERY VACATIONS is a fictitious name according to the State of Florida. They obviously hope to get you on the first points about 3 dates, 45 days in between.making it SO hard for people to pick a 'vacation' date. Additionally there are many hoops and deadlines you have to jump through to get these tickets. I found out I would end up paying a $200 deposit up front, have to give 3 different destinations, and have strict deadlines to follow. I called to find out EXACTLY what strings were attached to the 'free' tickets et al. If you ever want more than a one bedroom one bath- the program costs you twice as much as represented. I felt GDV’s program is just a twist on a time share but without an ownership interest in the property. I recently attended a Global Discovery Vacations presentation due to the (2) free ticket promotion, free dinners, and $300 Retail Merchandise Certificate from Wal-Mart.Īfter the presentation, I decided NOT to buy but was given my ticket voucher on the way out the door.
